I've added a small area on the Martin Guitar Forum that is specifically for pedal steelers. If you happen to like Martin guitars and are in the area, feel free to stop by.... http://pub55.ezboard.com/btheunofficialmartinguitarforum

Thanks Tommy...
As you can see, the Martin Forum will take you some time to read through. There are over
10,000 posts with 100-150 new ones daily. It really keeps me hopping I started the forum last May and have just recently seen the 500,000th hit! The next issue of Martins "Sounding Board" has a short story about myself and the forum. It is not surprising to me, that several steel players are also members of TUMGF...after all, steel players are rather picky when it comes to guitars

Steve
I'm interested in gaining access to the Martin Forum, but I was defeated at the first page(!), as I have no idea what an 'ezboard' is. The procedure doesn't appear to be as simple as the one I followed to join b0b's site, but you have thousands of participants; I guess that would put me fairly low down on the 'computer literacy' scale....

I have a '27 000-18, a '47 000-18 and a '79 M38, but am still looking for the perfect guitar!

EZSteve,
Indeed, your Martin Forum is really quite overwhelming. It is huge. The folks are as
nice and intelligent and informative as here
on SGF.
I haven't posted since I first jumped on,
but I will be; not-to-worry.

At one time in my life, I could tell you all the models of Martin acoustics, and what were some of the characteristics that would distinguish one from another.
Now, they have so many models, especially signature series, that I threw the towel in a long time ago. Just couldn't keep up.

BTW, I had a post over in MUSIC [here] [about a flat-picking duet, 'Delaware Crossing'], that dried up [no responses], but
on their liner notes they thanked Dick Boak
of Martin Guitars for the use of his D-42
Martin with the Parsons/Green Stringbender.

I'd sure love to see and try out this axe.

FWIW...ChipsAhoy

Roger,
EZboard is a website hosting service. I pay them to host my site.

Please go back to the registration page. By far, the most common problem is not responding to the confirmation number that the EZboard sends you after you register. This can easily be resent at the registration page. You also can click on help and go to FAQ for registration problems.
If you are still experiencing problems, contact me directly at my email address. Thanks a lot for your interest. I'm sorry you are experiencing problems.
