WOW!!!!

I got the chips Monday but it took until today to get the nerve to open up my NV1000. What a difference! The result is a MUCH warmer tone.

My only problem putting in the chips was I bent a couple of pins trying...fortunately, a needle nose pliers was all I needed to straighten them back out.

Many thanks again, Ken!

I put the chip between my thumb and forefinger and squeeze a bit to get the legs a tad closer together. The legs are always wider apart than the socket.

Same with any new IC chip, the legs are always wider apart than the receiving socket

Had mine put in today.Nash 112 and even I noticed a difference. My neighbor who is an electronics tech did the install in about a half hour for free. The 112 sounds good without it but the mod sweetens it up.
Thanks Ken.

Ken,

Do you have a web site that explains the mod, what to expect, how to do it and the price? I just bought a new NV 112.

Thanks

I do not have a website. As this would be considered a new product I can't post a price on the Fourm (Forum rules).

All I can say is well over 200 N-112 amps have been modded with this mod and the comments have been very favorable.

I do not play a N-112 amp and cannot really give a detailed description of what it does. I far prefer a modded N-400 amp for steel guitar to anything else out there.

In the electronics section there had been much discussion on it.

Thanks Ken

I am using a 5E3 Deluxe and a NV 112 together off a Hilton coming form an Aiello Frypan with huge pickup. So my setup is not traditional.
