| I have been listening to these three songs all of my life, but I do not know who the steel players are. Here are the songs: 1. Teach Your Children (CSNY), 2. Peaceful Easy Feelin' (Eagles), and 3. Midnight Rider (Allman Bros.). Some folks will argue as to whether or not a steel was played on Midnight Rider, but it sure sounds like one to me. Please respond, friends! |

| If it is pedal steel, then #2 was probably Bernie Leadon. (I just listened to this a few times...could be a B-bender.) Number 3 most-likely is Duane Allman on slide. He was a great slide player and sometimes the slide can sound very similar to the pedal steel, especially if it's played/mixed just right. |

Peaceful Easy Feeling by the Eagles was Bernie Leadon on a B-Bender equipped Telecaster. It wasn't a Parsons/White though, it was an Evans bender I believe.
Midnight Rider was Dwayne Allman on a Gibson Les Paul or an SG tuned in open E. He used an old Coricedin bottle on his ring finger for a slide!.........JH in Va.
