I ran across their website while looking for a new overdrive, and the demos sounds very promising (and the price is right). Just thought I should check if any of you have experience with these pedals before I put in an order for the models I'm interested in.

The website is here.

Hello Steinar,

I just had an upgrade mod to a Boss GE-7 Graphic EQ by Chad Mitchell...CMATMOD! I found him here on SGF from another menber who recommended CMATMOD.

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT service and workmanship. Chad did a great job, turned it around in 3 days and sent back via Priority Mail with an "all in" price of $45.00. Just e-mail Chad with any questions, fill in the shipment paper on his web site, follow the payment instructions and it's done. I could be wrong, but you may have to work out an overseas shipment price.

The EQ mod is working great for what I needed, very quiet and transperant as promised by Mr. Mitchell.

I use it to shape the sound on my vintage Fender Tube Concert Amp. Now the amp has a new life.

I may get another Boss pedal effect unit upgraded by CMATMOD as I am very happy with this service. See the other thread on here "Tube Amp Question". Hope this helps you.....TX

Rgds,

Ron

Chad seems to be getting a great reputation for his custom stuff along with the mods. I'm wanting to check out the Signa, Brownie and the Butah low gain OD. I'm told these are especially good with Fendery type amps to push them more towards a Marshall voice. The price is sure right!

I bought a CMAT-MODDED GE7 from a forum member a few months ago. To my ears, the noise floor is pretty low for a stompbox EQ like this and my sense is that the bypassed sound is better than the one I had a few years ago. Noise in these types of stompbox EQs has always been an issue for me, but this one is very workable, to me.

Since I didn't get the mod done myself, I can't comment on the service.

I haven't been able to find one negative comment about his work, so I sharpened my credit card and ordered a Signa Drive, Buttah and Deeelay. Better get them now before the guy gets real famous and his prices go through the roof...
