It's a heck of a lot nicer now than when it left the factory.
It's a custom beauty. |

Rick If you see this, I would love to know where you get your brass stock. I have tried for months to find a source for brass L-angle to use as nut and/or bridge to no avail. And yes that is a beauty of a restore job. The brass works is a sight for sore eyes |

Man that's gorgeous! Bee-yootyful work Rick!
Terry, you gotta record something and post it - even if it's just unaccompanied random noodlings . .

Thanks y'all ...
I don't know if Terry has another B6 ... but this one's gonna be tough to beat ... sonically
I just feel bad that it took so long to get to ...
Gary ... my favorite spot on the internet to get stuff is ... Small Parts ... out of Miami, FL.
They are a "prototypers' dream" ... their inventory is massive ... and they carry stuff that is almost impossible to get ... from high tech plastics to lab equipment ...
Here's their materials page ...
http://www.smallparts.com/materials/
They ship stuff ... very fast too ...
The brass nut and bridge for this Bronson ... I milled from a 0.5" x 0.5" x 72" square bar that I ordered from them ... |

Hey Rick, what did you use to buff the plastic? I have a couple of units around here that could use that help. |

The brown bakelite buffed up real nice ... using a loose canton flannel wheel with plastic rouge (compound) ...
Using a regular sewn cotton wheel ... can "burn" the bakelite ... if you lean into it too much.
Came out like a mirror ... slippery though |

That's for sure. If there was a patron saint of non-pedal steel it would have to be Rick. In fact, I officially nominate him for saint-hood. (We already have a knight!) |
