I had this up on ebay for a few weeks, looking for enough money to buy the steel I am looking for. I recently purchased a nice old Rick and am thinking about getting another.

The guitar plays fine, the tuners work well with lighter guages. There is no date under the pan, thats why the strings are missing on the inside neck. The legs come with the guitar, but I have no case.

I am looking for a reasonable offer or better yet a trade for a nice rick. Please contact me for more pics or info.

When you say the tuners work well with lighter gauge strings- is that implying that they don't with heavier gauged strings?

I do not know if they work for heavier guage strings on this particular guitar. I do know that I spent a lot of time tweaking my D8 (which was in real rough shape when I got it). My D8 needed new tuners because they slipped. I am assuming this is a common problem with the lollipop tuners and heavier guages. I used lighter guages on the T3 with fair tension and it worked fine.

The pickups have an even sound level, and they are the trapezoid type. They have nice tone.

There is some slight wear on the fretboard of the inside neck, all others look mint. Some of the screws appear to not be original, might be zinc or aluminum, not sure. The electronics, switch are all original. The tophat looks like a replacement though.

The actual finish looks like a light natural nitro coat. I am not sure if it is original, or they were made that way or not but it looks original to me. There are no scratches, chips etc. There is a Fender decal on the front. All the diamonds are intact. Has legs, no case.

I am no expert on these guitars, but its a great Triple Neck. I suppose the next best thing would be a Stringmaster or a Bigsby---either of those are out of my league!

Jim,
I know I declined your ebay offer 2 days ago, are you still interested? I noticed you bought a D8 too, looks nice, you probably dont need a T3.

There is plenty of info offered here on the forum and the old No Peddlers section that discusses the pickups, tone, string guages and tuners etc.
Thanks,

You might want to list your askin price if you are selling it.

Steven,

I had the guitar on ebay listed at $1000 shipping included. Considering the recent sales on ebay for D8s and other T3 Customs, I figured it wasn't a bad price. Not to mention that a 50s Fender is still the cheapest high quality greatest sounding steel in that price range.

I know that price does not appeal to folks that are in the "business" side of things who are looking for a quick resale and profit, but that vintage market is long gone.

I also thought the price was fair because of all the ebay fees, and listing it 3 times. If anyone would like to make an offer, that would be fine too.
