On the 4th word on the versus, I just can't find the chord. At the beginning of the song where the lyrics go "It was no accident" I can't find the chord for accident. We do the song in C and I am going to a 5 chord on the 10th fret on strings 5 and 6 with A & B pedals down. If I hit more than these two strings, it really sounds wrong. So, I am faking it. Nobody else in the band can find the chord either. Does anybody know the chord and how I can get it playing in the key of C. We are really stumped on this one. Thanks. |

Correct.. Officially, its a C with B in the bass, but geez I played that song with some great bands. and we just used the G chord and it sounded fine... Thats what I would do, why look for some off the wall chord that may not even be there?...Use the G... bob |

Ditto on what Bob C. wrote. I play the song with a couple of bands, 5th chord is where everyone goes so I just follow along, works great!
ps if you're playing at the 8th fret try rolling into your B pedal with the E lower lever, see if you like that phrasing better?

It seems to me an E minor might fit in quite well also. |

I Agree with with C to G (with the Bass Player playin a
"B" over the G chord.... then A minor. But try YOUR C to G ...3rd fret strings 8,6, and 5, then resolve to the A minor to F change...wherever you like. _________________ Jory Simmons |

The sheet music shows that it is a G chord with a B bass note (G/B).
But I'd just play the G chord and let the bass player carry you with the B note. |
