Fly The American Flag Proudly

Post by Smiley Roberts »

Let everyone know that you're proud to be an AMERICAN! If you haven't got one,go out & buy one, big, medium,or small, but display it,in honor of those who have fallen in this tragedy!

Smiley, alot of people driving around with the flag attached to their car antennas. Today I had to lower the flags around my town to half-staff it was very disturbing to be facing west and no longer seeing the towers in the background.

I only hope that it doesn't take an attack on America and thousands of live lost to inspire Americans to display OUR flag.

Half staff.
Thanks for the post Smiley.

What really gets me sometimes is when I'm leaving Robins Air Force Base and I run into
the lowering of the Flag for the day. Everything comes to a halt and we get out to salute. Most of the time I forget I'm now a civilian and I first render a hand salute. Then, I slowly lower my hand to over my heart as it should be. It took thirty years to learn that and it's a hard thing to undo but I'm proud to do it.

Best Regards, Paul. Retired USAF

As a retiree, I don't think the Airmen around you would mind if you render a proper hand salute to honor our country.

A salute or a hand over the heart it is still respect you are showing.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice!
