I have a blown steel king speaker,, At least I think thats what it is, a rattly zzzzz type noise coming out of the speaker. I want to replace it with the 1501-4SB like a lot of others have,, But I cant seem to find one anywhere listed for sale. I contacted local dealers and they dont know what the shallow basket is, and one told me they dont make it anymore. Is this true? and if so can any 1051 4 ohm work or is it only the shallow basket that sounds good?

Hi Steve, you might be best off contacting one of the steel guitar accessories vendors from the links header above.
Steel Guitar Nashville, Scotty's Music, Corson Music I'm pretty sure carry the 1501-4SB and that's the one you want. Far as I know, the driver is still available and more popular than ever and you can trust all these guys to know about speakers for steel guitar.
I think there are probably several others...perhaps browsing through the vendor links will turn up a successful contact. |
