Santa was very good to me this year. He left a brand new ZumSteel Hybrid at my door!

Congratulations.

How would you compare the Zum with the legend? (Or is it too soon to ask?)

These pics do not do the guitar any justice. The body is Honey Birdseye Maple. 4 floor pedals and 6 knee levers. Mike, I took the Zum out on the job the same day I received it. I was very interested to hear it in a live band environment. It is a bit early to conclude very much in terms of comparison with the Legend. Both have True-Tone single coil pickups installed and I used the Fender Steel King amp and Hilton volume pedal. I play again Sunday and will take the Webb amp this time to see how the Zum matches up with the Webb. I have to say I am very impressed with how stable the ZumSteel is. By that I mean staying in tune. The pulls are fast and smooth. The half stops feel very good and are easy to tune. Aesthetically the Zum appears precisely built. Fit and finish are top notch. The polish on the metal work is outstanding. Lastly, the Zum fits very nicely, easy to play comfortably right away. To Zum it up :) I am very impressed with the guitar. If you guys are interested I'll update this post after playing the job Sunday with the Webb amp.
