Jim-Just heard it. You showed how to take a E9 tuning, country song, and make it sound a little Jazzy in a very nice way. Very Acceptable....al.;):)

Jim, I didn't know that you had a MSA. You can make any steel sound good. Like they say, it's all in them hands.

Gee, thanks, guys! As Big E used to say, I thought it was important to show that steel guitar is not just a jazz instrument. ;)

Actually, that tune is from my forthcoming country music CD! Can ya believe that? After 30+ years of playing steel guitar, I finally decided to record some country music! (Well, I like to keep my audiences guessing, 'What will he think of next?') ;)

Stay tuned on the Forum; we're gonna have some fun soon generating names for the new CD!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!
Jimbeaux

p.s. I do have a new MSA Millenium D-10, previously owned by Tommy White. But this tune was indeed recorded on my Fessy.

Thanks Al...I guess its probably the style I used on the song, I did it on the C6th neck mainly just chord work rather than a lot of melody...I'm just getting the hang of playing C6 but I love that tuning...E9th is great but C6th is greater. Your playing sounds fantastic...Have a Merry Christmas Al from our house to yours.

John-I was just wondering how you did. It sounded like such an Original style, that I couldn't tell. I think it was very good. We need more C6 playing styles. Thanks for your kind comment on my Christmas Songs. Merry Christmas to you and your Family...al.:):):)

Charles-Yes Thanks, keep it going for Tilley. Now that the holidays are over, guess I better think about taking my Christmas Song off and put something else on. I will try playing one with Band in a Box and send on to Tilley, when I got time. I hope...al.:):)

I try to work in a couple of hours each month to check out Charles' site -- especially listening to all of the new ones listed at the bottom of the page. A lot of good steelers there -- and, Jim, your "Lucky" is great.
