Last Sun. I was invited to a get together just outside of Little Rock at Eddie Fey's house. I met some great musicians and singers and just good downhome people. Two steel players buttin' heads,
Kenny Rollins, playing extremely well and Dennis Wallis who plays steel and lead guitar for Jimmy Doyle in Little Rock. Eddie Fey played guitar and sang his tail off, my good friend Bob Dalton played some great stuff on lead guitar, Jack Hulett on bass and a good drummer, I'm sorry I forgot his name.Lot's of other pickers and singers there as well.Another great steel player was there but couldn't play because of a busted wing. Rudy Osborn
said he would be ready for the next one tho'.
I just want to say Country Music ain't dead it's still alive in Little Rock. I had a great time and hope I can go again. Thank's Guys Gary Atkinson

Gary, wish I could have been there to "Lock Horns" with Little Rock's best. I want to thank you for letting me play on your CD last year, titled: "Rockabilly Fever". I know you are a great singer who loves steel guitar. You let me go wild on E9th pedal steel, on your Rockabilly Fever CD. Pedal steel was not originally used on the stuff out of Sun Records of Memphis, but you knew E9th pedal steel would add a new dimension to these great Rockabilly songs. Gary, years ago when we played with Carl Perkins, he told you that you were a better singer than he was. I got news for you Gary, no one was as "COOL" as Carl Perkins, when it came to Rockabilly. Here is something else that will give you the big head: Terry Bethel of the Mel Tillis Show told me you are one of the best singers he has ever heard. I sell Gary's Rockabilly CD if anyone is interested in ordering one. By the way Gary, I got a call from New York yesterday from a guy who had bought the CD. He loved your version of the Buddy Holly song. Also got an e-mail from Germany from a fellow who had purchased your Rockabilly CD. He was telling me how much he liked it. I know Ray Qualls has one of the CDs. What song on the CD do you like Ray? Ray, by the way, I am playing in a great band with Donnie Tummons. You will have to bring your steel, sing and play with us some time. Donnie Tummons is the band leader.
