What's your point, T? Even I knew that. 
I've got almost all of his CD's including the two Christmas CD's that I've been wearing out. Top steel man always on those AJ CD's, be it Paul Franklin, Weldon Myrick or Robbie Flint.
If you just want to hear him sing beautifully, try the later traditional Christmas CD. Some big strings behind him there.

Alan does it for me too...For a lot of years I kinda liked country music..you know what I mean sitting on the fence ( Waylon and Willie were really cool type)...But then I went to Alan'  s concert and Saw Robbie Flint play steel guitar...I thought to my self dude you need to come out of the closet and start anouncing to everyone you have "gone country" I have been a hard core fan of the honky tonk version ever since.

| I hope someone in his management got to him and straightened him out. The material that they put him on for the last few years was aweful. His latest effort here sounds good. He was turning into Neil Diamond there for a while. |

The steel solo on that song, for me, is one of the top five of all time. The style, the touch, of Lloyd Green on that song is in terms of steel playing - making it to the summit of Everest.

OK, now I get it...
But I'll never hear it unless I buy his next album, since I can't stand any of the "Today's Hot Country" stations in my area, even though there are a handful of successful country recording artists I enjoy on those stations, like for example Alan, Brad Paisley, or Little Big Town.

Not sure if he was born there, but Robbie started his career in the Washington D.C area and played the club scene there in the 70's and early 80's before moving to Nashville. He started playing with Alan at the beginning of Alan's career and has been there ever since, playing great!
He's one of many Buddy Charlton students who ended up here; Bruce Bouton, Tommy Hannum, Robin Ruddy, Bucky Baxter etc. |

Barry, thanks for correcting that oversight. Lloyd is one of my all-time favorites. That song was put on the Greatest Hits CD, which I don't have. I've heard it though and it's as good as we expect from LDG.
