Aloha Ca,
Is there anyone on here from the Yorba Linda or Brea area that would loan or rent me a guitar, like maybe a Dobro or, ????, We are out here from FL, and could not bring a guitar with me.
Thanks in advance,
Phil

Phil, if you aren't able to get down to Jim's let me know - my office is in Brea and while I doubt you'd want to use one of my twisted Fender pedals steels I could work out something for you to use my Dobro for a bit. See what Jim can do, and if that's not practical email me...

Jim

Aloha SGF,
Is this the greatest site or what! I just want to publicly thank bOb, and Jim Sliff out here in CA, for furnishing me with a guitar while I am here. I knew when I packed to come to CA for Christmas with family, that I was making a big mistake. I packed my Kalina lap steel, and my Micro cube in our largest bag, then took it out at the last minute thinking I wouldn't really need it. I should have known better. Since being diagnosed with Parkinsons, and using the new medications, my left hand is back, and I really need the practice, so here I was, in CA with no guitar. In rides the Cavalry with a Dobro in hand.
What a great bunch of people we have in the SGF, again, Thank you , thank you.
Mahalo nui loa,
Phil Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Got to meet Phil today (unfortunately for an abbreviated visit...my fault, and we'll spend more time in a week or so) and it was a real pleasure. He's gonna babysit my Dobro for a week or so while he's in town, and I know it's in good hands.

Maybe it'll sound like someone knows how to play it when I get it back....

Whoa!

Well I took the Dobro back to Jim Sliff today, and finally got to hear him play, he is awesome. Thanks again Jim for the use of your Dobro, and thanks FORUM for being there.
