What volume pedal are you using?

I'm just curious to see what volume pedals everyone is using. If yours isn't on the list, let us know which brand yours is.

I've always preferred a pot pedal because of the tonal changes from off to full on. But, I would like to try a Hilton someday.

I've been using a ZB Custom pedal for 25+ years, and just last year had to change it out for one of the Dunlop pots from Tom Bradshaw...and it's back to it's former glory. Smile

I also use a Goodrich 120 pot pedal (low profile) but sometimes I use my old Sho Bud volume pedal.

I own a Goodrich 120 pot pedal and a Hilton. Haven't tried the Hilton out yet. Had a Goodrich LDR2 for a while. I didn't care for the tone with it inline but it was the most awesomely constructed and featured pedal I've ever seen.

I've been using the same "old" Sho-Bud volume pedal since early '74...It's solid and I guess I've been lucky with pots...I've been tempted to go to one of the newer/fancier models but I'm trying to resist...Go Sho-Bud! Wink

I've been using a Hilton exclusively for the last 4 yers. I carry a Goodrich 120 pot pedal around as a "backup" but have never had to use it.

With the Hilton, no more pot to go bad and no string to break.

I have used Sho-Bud with my Sho-Buds Cool

& recently switched to a rack mount. I find the rack mt. stays put & makes finding the pedals for the C6 neck easier, I have a regular Sho- Bud for backup.

If it's a full night gig I use the Hilton. If it's a one hour show working with other acts that require getting on and off stage, I use the Goodrich so I don't have to mess with the power situation, and trying to get to an outlet.

Tim, I am doing ok and getting ready for our steel show. I also have a seat with an outlet but you still have to mess around and find an outlet, unless you have one of those seats that the juice doesn't leak out of when you unplug it from home.

I use an old shobud volume pedal with AB pot. I have a second shobud volume pedal with an AB pot for backup. I like the way this pedal looks and feels. Works for me.

Been using an Emmons pedal since 74. I wouldn't mind trying one of those new-fangled pedals but no more than I play, I'll probably just stick with the Emmons. I like the pedal, just hard to find quality replacement pots.

I went from a Goodrich 120 to a Hilton about a year ago, but switched back after a few months. Although the Hilton did provide a more pure tone (no change in tone, that is) than the 120, it was not enough of a difference to warrant having to plug in one more gadget or to have $200 tied up in a volume pedal. I lucked out and bought another 120 off the forum for $60 with a nice smooth pot. I know someday it'll go (although I believe this is the original pot and it is a very old 120), but I can handle changing a pot every so often. Also, for whatever reason, I really prefer the feel of the 120; it just seems smoother than the Hilton for me.
