Hello to all, this is my first posting on this forum as I normally follow the pedal steel forum, but today I come with a request for help.
On thanksgiving day I was introduced to an elderly lady who sought me out because she heard that I play pedal steel. She owns a Fender triple neck 8 string non pedal that she wants to sell and she asked for my help.
I saw the steel and took a few pics but so far haven't figured how to add them to this post.

The guitar seemed to me to be in great shape though it had no covers over the area where the strings are attached. I could find NO serial numbers, model names or numbers or any other markings other than
the Fender name on the front and the Fender name etched on the tuning pans. I have no doubt that this is the real thing as it looks identical to pictures I've seen on this forum and the "for sale" section. It also fits perfectly in its original case. In stead of a single selector switch it has individual chromed push buttons, one for each neck.
Can anyone tell me anything about this guitar and can anyone tell me howto post pics?

No covers over the strings at the bridge area, Triple neck, and push button switches. I believe you are looking at a Fender Stringmaster.

This is a very desirable guitar for players and collectors.
I don't know how to post pictures, but the info is on the Forum somewhere.

Let us have a look.

This instrument is probably worth a lot more than the seller realizes. I had a four-neck Fender offered to me a month ago for $200. When I responded he said that he intended to say #2,000. Then he consulted the local guitar shop who advised him it was worth $4,500, at which stage he decided not to sell.

I would advise this seller not to sell, but if he insists on selling I'm interested.

Here are some pics of the Stringmaster Jim's friend wants to sell.
It's 24 1/2" scale with pushbuttons. That makes it a 54 or 55.

I did some work on one with the push buttons. Mostly what they need is some cleaning of the parts under the plate, and a dab of lube on the moving stuff.
