Watch for Windows Updates today

Today is Patch Tuesday, for all Microsoft users with supported operating systems. If you have Automatic Updates turned on you can expect to receive your patches sometime this afternoon, depending on your geo-location. There will be three critical and four important patches released today, plus an updated scan from the Malicious Software Removal Tool.

Some of today's updates will require a reboot, so be prepared to save your work, if you are going to leave the computer on and not be at the monitor all day. Forced reboots usually occur about 20 minutes after updates are applied, unless you interact with the pop-up notice before it times out.
