Realgreat job Pat and the pictures came out good. The only one that was'nt so good was the Photo man Mike Ide.But if you look close you can see it is Mike with no problem. And I think Mike Ide did a great Job on the lap Steel and a fantastic job on lead. Thanks for the Pictures I'm going to copy them and keep them for my steel guitar picture album.

And another thing... Someone once commented to me that 'you guys' (PSG pickers) never look like you're having any fun. You always look so serious! Take a look at the above photos. I can truly appreciate the comment I got. Maybe I need a hat with a smiley face on it (see Mystery Picker above) so, when I look down at the strings, some onlooker will see the smile and realize I'm actually having fun.

Thanks for posting the pics Pat. The bass player in question is Randy Rollman from NY state. He is also an excellent pedal steel player. I think he designed and carved the body of that bass himself. The upper cutaway features an ornate scroll-like carving... one of a kind.

....there are two pictures I wish I had, but I missed them because I was on the wrong side of the stage at the time...
"KEEPING FOCUSED"
...Jim Roule picking at the speed of light while Doug Beaumier and cohorts attempt to distract him, make faces, even lift up the guitar, and Jim never missed a note, and...
"DOUG HAS LEFT THE BUILDING"
...Jim Roule picking up Doug Beaumier, throwing him over his shoulder and carrying him out of the hall, then going back to his guitar to finish up the number...

Yes, Jimmy Roule was also hired to be the bouncer for this show. He did a good job of throwing out troublemakers, doncha think?

Yes, Jimmy is as strong as an ox! He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder like I was a feather. He must have some muscles in his fingers too because he blocks like no one I've ever seen!
Jimmy's dad got him started on pedal steel when he was about 14 years old. His dad used to take him to the club where I played in Springfield, Mass. over 20 years ago. He used to call me Mr. Beaumier. Now I call him Mr. Roule.

Jimmy came to work with me when he was just 14 and he was something then. He knew every song old and new and I could announce it and he would kick it off like the record. If I wanted to learn a new song I gave it to him and in moments he had it worked out like the record.I let him do a session with me in Nashville at 16 and he almost got hired for a sit down gig after sitting in.Big things were always waiting for him nashburg or anywhere if he ever seriously wanted it.But now times are hard allover for established players

I would say he had better been playing his Fessenden because we Rhode Islanders were sure watching him and so was everyone there.Could you see him playing some other brand with Bobbe looking on.And I was looking on also as I play one of his great steel guitars. Why should he play something different when he knows he has one of the best Steels built in the world.
