Can someone please me. When I log on to youtub, some youtubs play fine but others drop out for a while and then start again. My cpmputer is a GHz 2.53 Pentium 4 with broadband service.
Thanks

If some play normally and others drop out, it could be due to the number of people in your area viewing YouTube videos (server overload), or many people viewing the same video from everywhere. Also possible is throttling by your (cable) ISP. Alternately, if you are a cable Internet customer, you are sharing your bandwidth with all other cable customers in your WAN.

Hi Wiz,
Thanks for your coments. Some youtubs always drop out no matter what time day or night I try them. Some work fine every time. I have AOL, Verizon broadband, maybe thats the problem?

If some YTs play properly any time, and others don't, at the same time of day, the problem is at the YT servers, or Routers. It may be caused by too many concurrent connections coming from your Geo-location, or from your ISP (V). The only thing I suggest is pausing the playback until the full clip has loaded. This is what dial-up users have to do to play videos online.

Thanks Wiz
I found out what works. I am now using internet explorer. It works fine. Going direct through AOL was the problem.
Thanks again
Jerry
