OK, here's a question. Lloyd Green and Jerry Garcia both gutted their C6 necks at some point. Not that it really matters, but who did it first? :0

I can't remember where I read it. But it was definitely Lloyd. At one time Lloyd Green was Mr. E9. And for excellent reasons. And his career predated Jerry's by some years.

For that matter, there were Single-Neck PSG's before either one! Shot Jackson played a S–8 Sho-Bud w/3-pedals (E9) way back in the beginning of Sho-Bud. Of course, the difference was the lack of the SD model w/pad! The pad was/is a matter of playing-comfort.

Thanks for the responses. I was specifically wondering about the timing of gutting the C6 and continuing to play the E9 on the double body. Lloyd added the pad; Jerry didn't.
