today in the paper they introduced on a les paul, automatic electronic (i suppose) tuning pegs...i suppose the next step will be automatic musicians on a microchip or whatever.. any feedback on this??

I have seen something like that demonstrated at guitar shows.

The unit can tune the guitar to normal, drop D, DADGAD, DADFAD, Eb normal, etc.
The unit I saw was right on with a Peterson Strobe.
Very handy for changing tunings between songs.

Hey, we do it with pedals or multi-necks.
