Well… two tours and the need for two resole jobs on my boots! Right where my left foot pivots on the “B” pedal. Buddy, did this happen to you one too many times when you were working on the design of this instrument? Was this the inspiration for the unique shape of the foot pedals on original push/pull Emmons pedal steels?

| Other improvements, like the pedal rack mounted volume pedal, seem to originate from the mind of a hard gigging player..... interesting question. |

The chamfer/radius that is built into the Emmons p/p pedals can be added to most any pedal with a belt sander and/or a hand file. I radiused all the edges of the extruded pedals on my Williams (similar to current Emmons, Mullen, etc pedals)
I play in socks so the sharp edges was no go, and it doesn't take much of a radius to make a big difference.
