There will be a new forthcoming book re Fender,,,this will not deal with the technical area's of Fender products per say but will be something for those with a sense of humor to hear and read all the stories of my life with Fender.

Iam certain most all will enjoy it as much as I enjoy re-living those fabulous years from day one sleeping in my car,,for the lack of money to pay for a room...to the top of the hill with people like Buddy Rich,Roy Clark,,,and many others,,,all material to date that I have submitted to the Forum has been "copywrited" I will announce the introduction of my book as it is now in progress.....Im sure those of you who enjoy the laughs backstage etc will really enjoy
this book.

It is one of a kind,,,there are many great books on Fender out there,,,,but this will be the one that gives that famous Fender sound by the guy who was there during the battles and victories,,,,ME Jody Carver I
will include the "heart aches" as well as the "happy times"

It was the enthusiastic responce that I received from Forum members re my stories that finally fired me up,,,I thank you who gave me the encouragement,,,,you will get a book "gratis" when it is released,,
You know who you are,,,,,I do......

Boy,can't wait for this "darlin' " to come out. This oughta be a regular riot!! If it's half as funny as the forum postings,I know it will. Best of luck on this project,Jody.

Jason,
Being the Country Music historian that you are,you should, certainly, enjoy a book of this nature.

Jody, my friend,
This is a piece of GREAT news. I'll be anxious to read it also. My eyes are not what they used to be but I'll get someone to read it to me if I don't have my cataract surgery done by then. Boy I wish I could have been there with you. I can imagine it was a great era. AND it's probably not over yet. WOW,AND DOUBLE WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jody that is great news! I have the "other" Fender books and now, as Paul Harvey says, Ill "get the rest of the story"!

I know when a person gets started on something as important as this, that the "goal gradient" is prone to take over in the rush to get it done, but don't forget to take time out ocasionally for the wife, who lived all this with you,(also, Casey, Coco and Oreo need love too)

My best to you my friend,

Gene

Gene ,,,you always say nice things, I do appreciate your comments.

I was hurting after receiveing e mails that were sent to my home,,,but I know there are too many good people on this Forum to ignore
so Iam going ahead despite them negative remarks.

In fact they gave me the additional inspiration that I needed to "push" me to do this project.

Bobby Lee gave me the opportunity and space to start this thing,,,and now Iam going to stand at the plate and "take my cuts at the ball",,,Im hopin I can make contact with the ball or at least "bunt" the guy and advance the runner.I never was a good hitter.

I will take care of my wife and coco & oreo
and casey...this will probably be the last thing I will ever do in my life other than use the "pooper scooper" Thank you Gene...
Jody

DITTO to all the above posts. Jody, as you know you were an inspiration to me back in the days when I didn't know a pic from a slide rule. I can't wait to read your book and place it beside my "Donald O'connor" pic.
Welcome back friend.....RC

RC Ill try to reply this way. I appreciate your comments and praise ,I really do. My book is a long way off,,,I have a lot of work
to do,,,

You can put it next to your Donald O'Conner picture,,but maybe it would be better sitting next to a gal like Heather Locklear.

That way Im sure you will look at her & my book will be next to her,,,would rather look at her then to read a dopey book that a guy like me would write....Lots of work and have to get clearances,,,you know what I ,mean.
There will be no insults to anyone,,,just true stories,,maybe even the one about me with Louie Prima,,,I have been saving that one.....be well Jody

Our band was once featured by FENDER guitars company.....pictures and everything...displaying our total FENDER sound. It was a fun era! Wish I'd have known you then. Can't wait for the book.
