They aren't in the catalog yet (I'm lazy sometimes), but I now have these two CD's in stock:
Bruce Kaphan's "Slider" is spacey, multi-layered pedal steel instrumentals. It's probably the best example so far of new age pedal steel. The Forum price is $18, and our catalog number is CD-BK01S.
Mike Headrick's "Slanted" could be subtitled "Songs That Ray Price Never Found Words To". Seriously, it consists of 10 original E9th instrumentals with a top notch country studio band. Mike is a great E9th player, and the production standards are very high on this CD. The Forum price is $15, and our catalog number is CD-MH01S.
To order either of these, follow the instructions on our ordering page.

Bobbe,
Thanks for the "Slider". Great CD of different music on the steel. Since my wife is a composer, piano player and did a CD of similar style, I was most interested in this CD. I am looking forward to someday being able to collaborate with her.
I would recommend this CD to anyone looking for some different style and sound with the steel. The music is fairly simple, well performed, and he gets some great sound from his steel.

Mike Headrick's CD is excellent. Good, solid E9 country steel guitar, the way it ought to be played. Three thumbs up! |
