Johnny Davis' sister-in-law sent an email asking me to post this. I can't find the topic he refers to.

I'm alive and well (so far) and living in Prescott Valley, AZ. First thing is a thank you to everyone for the compliments.

I still do some pickin in the area with 3 Wheel Drive down Phoenix way and locally a single act doing my own pre-recording (drums, bass, Keyboard, horns, etc) while I play live on a gig.

I'm now endorsing the G & L Guitars, Fullerton, CA. Easiest playing guitar I believe I have ever owned. I'll be back-up guitarist for the 3-day SWSGA in late Jan 2008 down in Phoenix. My wife (bless her ?) is trying to convience me to play a set on my steel (still have the Fender 800 I bought at Blackie's)

Thanks again everyone. Johnny Davis

I have thoroughly enjoyed Johnny's guitar playing at the SWSGA shows, I also wish he could be persuaded to do a set on steel, I'm sure he's be jaw-dropping good on that too.

I too contributed to Jerry Hayes' thread on Johnny earlier this year. He was one of the HOSSES!! in the SoCal scene back in the 60s-70s. I used to see him with Gene Davis and the Star Routers all the time and was amazed every night, on guitar AND steel.

He played with me at this year's SWSGA show... along with another hero of mine, Al Bruno... and I was in hog heaven. Jerry and Jim Bob know exactly what I'm talkin' 'bout. Smile

I echo all that is said about my friend, Johnny....not only a great musician, but a true gentleman as well. I respect this man for his christian attitude and his humble presentation. I am proud to call Johnny Davis my friend.
