Jason Dumont built my wife a very special Lap King Rodeo last year and it's the most beautiful lap steel you can imagine and she sings like an angel. That was a birthday she will always remember and if I can ever get her to play for anyone besides me you might call her a rising star! The Cindy Cashdollar DVD didn't hurt either. Thanks Jason!! One of the nicest gifts she ever received. She calls it "The Dumont". Bet she always will.

I don't have any pictures of it. I'll try to get some on here but I need to get a better camera first. My wife may decide not to sing to her playing. She thinks she CAN'T sing and play at the same time. I told her to
just focus on her playing then since she had never played much of anything before the Lap King but I think she's doing good and can sing like a charm. To get here to sing to anybody but me, well thats another story. For now at least. She does adore her Lap King cause she
WANTS to play it.

Hi Dan!
Welcome to the forum!
I'm so glad she is still enjoying it so much. I have that Cindy Cashdollar tape too. It's a reallly good one.
When I first got it my wife had walked in and said "Hhhmmm nothing like a pretty blonde with a Stringmaster huh? It figures of all the tapes out there you'd pick HERS"
In a shocked voice I replied "I hadn't even noticed ...she was playing a Stringmaster"
Thanks for the kind words Dan! |

Hi Jason:
Thanks for the hello. Yea, my wife is pretty proud of the Lap King and everyone that has seen it has remarked on how NICE it is. I just wish she would play for other people besides me but she'll get there in her own time. That was a great decision to go with the Lap King
and if I wasn't in the hunt for a pedal steel purchase
I would be contacting you to build me one. I better hurry cause she will be miles ahead of me on a whole bunch of stuff.
