I can cetainly agree with all the songs listed, and can add at least one more. With a 15 month old child in the house who has toys with recorded vocal tracks and ryhmes, one more stands out very vividly to me, "The Muffin man"! Laughing Laughing

The one I remember most from when my kids were small is the Barney song, which has the same tune as "This Ole Man."

"This is the song that never ends..."

"Kentucky Rain" by Elvis, hear it once and the recording loop goes on for days.... I hated that song...

I spend many hours a day on auto-pilot at my press. Prime breeding ground for earworms--especially as the repetitive rhythms of the press morph into my worst worms.
I posted on this some time ago. Please don't judge me by my worst earworm........

"but they're cousins
identical cousins and you'll find
they laugh alike, they walk alike,
at times they even talk alike
You can lose your mind, When cousins are two of a kind!"

*sigh*

just shoot me.

My personal worst is the original Luvs Diaper theme.

I get ear worms really bad sometimes from recording sessions. I use Gregg Galbreath's system of singing Amazing Grace to the tune of Gilligan's Island in my head. If that doesn't work I head straight to a club where I can hear some out jazz. The more wild and dissonant the better.

"Wheel in the Sky" has been stuck in my head for a couple days.

Time to pull out the old Archies' 8 track.
