(actually this post: I stole it)
If you know "nothing", please enlighten us about "nothing". I'm one of those unfortunate few who don't know "nothing."
I can tell you about a whole bunch of notnig.
Just stay tuned for the Pipeliners Hall Of Fame.
I got em' all working on my job.
I can tell you a bunch about nothig.
When my glass has nothing in it, I try to see it as 0/2 full, instead of 2/2 empty, even though I know that, since "More is less" (which means that most is least and everything is nothing), even when the glass is full it's really empty.
Take any number.
Deduct one.
Make a note of it.
Take the same number.
Add one.
Make a note of it.
Multiply together the two numbers you have made a note of.
Deduct the square of the number you first thought of.
Add one.
What is the result ? (and it's the same for any number.)
Intergalactic nothingness is supposed to be occupied by dark matter, not to be confused with antimatter which is the opposite of matter, which anihilates matter when the two contact, leading to nothing....(or is it "pure energy" as Spock would say...)
I can't believe it took me 10 pages to remember, but didn't the Fugs have a song about this? I remember it as the repetition of the word "nothing" in many different languages. Well, maybe it's not so surprising I have a hard time remembering. Nothing is pretty much all I remember of some years back then.
Didn't the Village People have a song called "Nothing in The Way She Moves"? Oh wait, that was the Beatles "Something In The Way She Moves". Never mind.
