9:30 PM downbeat, and there may not be a second set since usually there is nobody there but the band and the bartender

band: Bruce Lofgren sextet (no vocalists!) normally I play piano but lately I've brought the steel and they seemed intrigued (confused) so I'll try it again

music by Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Lennon/McCartney, Little Stevie Wonder, etc

Guys, I've seen Doug play steel with this band. Of course it's always nice hearing him, but this is a special treat. The band is hot, Doug is hot, and it's really neat hearing the steel played in a jazz band.

Besides the menu contains scorpions, fried ants, and two different kinds of worms. What more could a steel guitarist want?

Earnest,
What is the three digit airport identifier for Santa Monica airport? Can I walk to or get airport transportation to the club?

Bobbe -

Santa Monica is SMO [KSMO] and Typhoons is on the South side of the airport. The major airport attraction is the Museum which is on the North side.

The entertainment is well worth the admission price. How can you go wrong at a restaurant that has a section on the menu for "Insects"?

Hope to see you there one night.
