I just got back from Kinston, N.C. where Jerry Hayes,
His Wife, Tee Meronie, Garland and the fiddle
player did some really good music.
Thanks a lot guys.

Paul, I'm glad you didn't mention that the notorious Clyde Mattocks was seen playing the dreaded (sorry b0b) 5 string b@njo...... I get enthused every time I go down there and hear pickers of the caliber of Clyde, Kenny Dail, and the rest. The bluegrass session was really hot with twin fiddles by Jerry Dunbar & Roger Gray along with that hot cross pickin' mandolin and vocals of Ted Jones. He's got a future for sure. Ted's dad played rhythm guitar and sang those high harmony parts.

Getting to pick with my ol' "illegitimate dad" Kenny Dail was really a treat. We've been buds for a long time and it's an honor to get to set up beside a legend. Glen Lanning had his lap steel there as well but I didn't get to hear him pick.

Clyde slays me on the b@njo. They did a bluegrass version of "Wild Side of Life" and he's over there playing Hank Thompson style steel guitar licks on the five string b@njo. Way to go Clyde.....JH in Va.
