For all the reasons why, I had to give up my steel back in the early 90s. I'm back now hoping to get started again. I'm the proud owner of Ron Elliot's old Marrs guitar (the one he played on American Steel). I'll have far more questions to ask than answer and I hope you'll all have patience with me on the long road back.
For starters, any information concerning this venerable old steel will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome back RC. I quit once for five years and it's not too bad starting up again. Now I've retired from my day job and I get to practice more but I limit the gig thing because the equipment gets heavier every day.
I lived in Peach Tree City for a few years in the early '90's. We were almost neighbors.
