I've never seen a TABLEDIT cheat sheet.

It's a great program, but takes some effort to learn.
I really like how it plays back the music. It sounds robotic, but is a great help to identify typo mistakes.

If you don't want to put a bit of time and effort into learning it, TABLEDIT is not the right product for you.

Joey, PLEASE help me, I've e-mailed Keith and Tom 10 (TEN) Days ago and our magazine publication is being delayed by their lack of support.
This is my problem :-

With relation to the example here :-

I can't for the life of me figure out why the G#s at bar 14 are coming out as G NATURALS !!
the 11th fret on string 3 tuned to A open is G#.....

Baz,
You are welcome to email me the TEF.
I'll see what I can do. Sounds like a bug.

So as not to delay your publication, I suggest correcting it by a Paint or Photoshop program.

I did the following (correction to your original)in MS Paint.

You are welcome to use it.
Hope this helps.

Hi Basil, I agree with Joey, looks like a bug. Frets 8-11 on that string don't appear to sync with the key signature, even though they report the correct note at the bottom of the screen. F and F# both display a natural symbol for some reason. The good news is you're not going mad!

Robert, I'm trying to learn TableEdit myself with mixed results. Assuming you're on pedal steel, first go to Score>Module, click pedal steel then click tuning and pick your tuning from the popup. After that I find the best way is to dive right in and then reference this page when you get stuck. Hope that helps.

I Rob: You will find the HOT KEYs to all short cuts on pages 157 to 161 of the manual (.pdf). Also, there is a training video available on the Tab Edit web site. Lower right corner as I recall. I have not seen it and can't speek to its quality.

For me, a quick scan of the manual (especially the pedal steel parts)and some pokeing around got me going.

From the help menu type in "pedal steel" in the search box and you will get a list of the most important things to know to set the software up to tab out pedal steel.

Blessings, Bo Baker
