Jack, I miss not seeing you. Have not seen Bill Smith in a long time either. I wish I could come to the show, but I will be in Colorado elk hunting. Your friend Keith Hilton

Lavelle, You need to email Joe Jones about playing. This is not a club, it's his show...

Harrison Steel Show

Post by Michael Breid »

Last year no one was there to play guitar for the steel players. They had a bass and piano, but no one played guitar. I'm coming by, so I will stick my guitar and amp in the car. If someone wants me to play behind them I will. If not, I'll just observe and try to pick up some steel info.

Better take Michael up on his offer - he's one of the best guitar players around. Jack Kondora and I wanted to combine our segments and do some twin steel stuff, E9 and C6, but the powers to be said no (???????)so guess we'll try again next year.

Sam I appreciate the kind words very much. Hope to see you there Saturday. Perhaps they will change their minds about the twin steel stuff. I see that going on with the big shows. Two,four, sometimes six steel players lined up on stage playing songs. The setup space is sorta small there at the community center, so perhaps there wouldn't be room. There's going to be a lot of good steel players, so if you people who play or enjoy steel guitar music get a chance, drop by and listen to some fine steel guitar playing. It's easy to get to the community center. If you're coming south on 65 highway, just turn right at Shoney's stop light, or left if you're coming north on 65. Go about a block and the community center is on your left. Joe Jones says he will have signs out. This should be a fun time. See y'all there Saturday, the Lord willin' and the devil ain't a fiddlin'.

Hey Jack,Ray and Mike.Wouldn't you know it!!!! My son is getting married Saturday the 3rd.I went to that show to hear Tim McCutchen play a good number of years ago now. This is kinda like it was when I was in the Air National Guard. If I planned to do something fun and darned guard drill would be scheduled,so I quit when my enlistment was up.I met Jack and Eddie Snow there that day.I miss you guy and sure would have enjoyed seeing you all.I'll catch up with you all somewhere down the road though.

Please come out and support this steel show. Where have I been? I thought it was a new show but this is just my second year. I didn't know about it before. There are some good players from the Branson area and Joe also is letting me come play, so come on and lets have a good time.

I would just like to say thanks to Joe and all the gang in Harrison. Thanks so much for the hospitality! Looks like we made some new friends and a deal for some tomato plants...that is if Ronnie ever shows up over here. We had a great time and hope to do it again.
