Here's a nice pic taken in 1971 shortly before Duane's death. Tommy Talton sent it to me - he played guitar in 'Cowboy' (with Scott Boyer).
Cowboy rented the house in South Georgia where this picture was taken.

What a great picture. You can always tell when Dickey's having fun--That left elbow stickin' out even with his shoulder Smile .
Good times, good days...

Yeah, sure, Joey. The guy was obviously an 'early adapter', before they were invented. Wink

Or maybe that's a flower in his hair and he's just sucking extra hard on a Marlboro? Razz

Looked like a deftly handled roach clip to me, but I have different memories of that period...

I wonder what happened to the Capricorn reissues of the Cowboy albums, the debut came out on CD in the late 90s and got deleted in like five minutes (alongside the Livingston Taylor and Johnny Jenkins Cap. LP from the same year: 1970).. they were like the earliest Capricorn records aside from the Allmans first and second LP, which are the only ones in print.

I think Tommy and the guys, Liv and the late Johnny Jenkins deserve some CD reissues.
