| You can use a lathe, or if that's not available, a Dremel tool with a cutoff blade will do a nice groove too. If you're concerned only with functionality, you could also just drill a small hole in the rod, and then use a tiny hairpin-type clip (along with a flatwasher). |

Thanks for your reply concerning the pull rods. How do you know how much to bend the rod? How deep do you go in the rod? |

It seems that the simplest solution is to order rods from Emmons or an Emmons dealer. I don't know another source for 7/64" rods and if you use the original parts the guitar remains original without a mixture of parts. If you need help getting Emmons parts I am willing to help you.
