Jody Carver, anybody?

Post by John Bechtel »

I've tried email, snail-mail and telephone with no results! I haven't heard from him in several weeks and I wonder if anyone has had any response! Sure miss hearing from “The Knight of Fender Tweed”!

I also haven't heard or seen a hide or hair of Jody in quite a while. I sure miss reading Jody's posts here. He was one of the main reasons I made it a habit to hang out at the SGF.
Jody man, we miss you.

I talked to jody for an hour on the phone today He said he has been pretty busy trying to finish up the book he is writing. He also said he has been playing his steel quite a lotlately. He asked me if I wanted to come over and jam with him.I told him i was too rusty. I haven't played for a while, but I will think about it.

Jody Carver, anyone?

Jody's been working on “The Last Fender Guitar” for five-years with help from Sandy Miller and I guess only she can prod him on enough to get it done! So Sandy, if you're reading this Post; see if you can convince ‘The Knight of Fender Tweed’ to turn up the speed just a little bit! Everyone is anxious to read the book!

The Frets Of My Life

Post by Hank Pell »

Sandy, See if you can get Jody to finish his biography before i get to old.I think Frets Of My Life is the correct title.Dominick the barber keeps asking me about the book. Every time i go for a haircut,I noticed my haircuts are getting worse and worse.

Hey JODY...I kinda like Hank's title for your book.
As someone (above) mentioned, hopefully it gets published in my lifetime. C'mon Sandy...let's get that book published...you're the only one who seems to be able to get Jody moving on this. Put my name down for a first edition...(autographed, of course!)

Hi All,

I spoke with Jody's daughter Marie Elena, she reports Jody recently went to Westchester Hospital for some tests....She was happy to say Jody is fine (strong guy!).

Since we have lost a few of our great Steel Guitar players recently, of course our concern is heightend since we have not heard from Jody in awhile.

Marie Elena also observed Jody has been working very, very hard on his book! The good news is, he is down to about 3 more chapters to complete.....

From what we hear, it's going to be great!! Can't wait!! Ummmm, maybe Jody will get a Pulitzer Prize and do a movie, eh? ;-) TX

Rgds,
