Hi Gary- I suppose you mean what is called "low" German as opposed to "high" German. I usually have to ask the person to wiederholen Sie bitte to understand that dialect. I studied German at the University, but have little chance to speak it except when we travel. What part of Florida (my favorite state) do you live in?
