burrito brothers suits

Post by John Carpenter »

does someone out there have that picture of all the suits lined up on a rack? or any other pics of them in the suits minus the gilded palace record cover?

my band is playing a halloween show as the burritos and we're trying to figure a way to look the part.

for me it's easy, i just need to paint some dinos on a sweatsuit...

Gram’s Nudie suit was (may still be?) in the Country Music Hall of Fame as part of an exhibit on Country Rock that also includes Emmylou’s black Gibson J-200 with the inlaid rose, as well as one of Rusty Young’s steels, all very cool!
I never noticed in any of the pictures, but Gram’s suit sports two naked women on the lapels!

If I recall correctly, some of Gram's Nudie suits...maybe his Burritos one and one or two of the other Burritos' ones...were destroyed in a fire.

I have really good pics of the front and back of Sneaky's if you want 'em - just email me.

It's interesting that the one missing from the "on the rack" picture is the "red" suit, which Michael Clarke ended up wearing, but I think there are a couple pics of Gram wearing as well.

red suit with subs

Post by Jason Odd »

Gram was apparently wearing the red one when Miss Pamela (Pamela Des Barres) of the GTO's first saw him and Chris Hillman out on the town.
