Pics of my "Steel Organized " box that I built

Post by Wade Branch »

I got tired of all my effects being out of reach on the floor and my cables going every which way.So I built this box that has my tuner and effects already hard wired in.There is a power strip in the bottom of the box that is wired thru an external switch on the outside of the box to turn the boxes power on and off within an arms reach.I run a Hilton electronic volume pedal, so I installed an external plug on the front of the box (Closest to the pedal bar)to power it up.On the back of the box I installed a recessed male plug to plug my (1) extension cord into,to power up the switch. There is a trap door on the back and the side, the little door on the back is to run my cables thru, one goes to the amp and one to the VP ,but I keep them hooked up inside the box and just roll them up and store them inside the box when Iam done. The side door opens up and I store my extension cord inside there.I also bored a couple of holes in the top one to hold a cold beer and the other holds my bar while Iam on breaks. It has really worked out great.

Outstanding, Wade, you are one handy guy!

Of course the final touch of genius is the beer holder! :)

Wade, You should get that thing "pattened". You could make a mint with that! Put it on the market.

i LOVE stuff like this. thats super cool.

I'd be a bit concerned about having my beer holder sooooo close to my effects tho. especially since they are in a recessed box like that...one slip of the cup and they'd be swimming in sweet beer. ah but Im sure you know what your doin. 8)

very very cool.
