In Bay Area 10/20-30

Post by David Easley »

Hi, I'm going to be in the S.F. Bay area from October 20th through the 30th visiting friends and I was just wondering if anybody might know where I could find a solo gig. I'll have my regular guitar and either a ten-string lap or my Emmons D10. Blues, jazz, country, rock, originals...For that matter if any band happens to need a sub at that time that would be fun too.

Thanks.

Have to say, Dave.....not much going on in my neck of the woods. to get a solo gig without anyone knowing or hearing you is gonna be pretty tough me thinks.

I may need a sub on steel for the 26th, but that's only cause the gig is so bad I can barely stand doing it.....smiles

Thanks anyway, Stephen. I do apreciate the reply! I've never played San Jose before. I played SF a few times. There was another San town... Santa Cruz, I played there with jazz drummer Brian Blade. Also, I played the Yerba Buena Gardens with him opening for Elvin Jones. All the stuff I've done out there has been as a sideman. Nothing under my own name yet but I may have something at Ireland 32 during my ten day vacation. I have to wait and see if it conflicts with a christening. Naturally I can't stand in the way of some little Catholic kid's big day. My brother and all his kids are Catholic.

Let me know if you are doing any SF gigs between 10/20 and 10/30. I'll try to come out and hear you play.
