My band, Neon Cactus, was one of 15 finalists chosen to play Jamboree USA's Starquest 2000 at the Capitol Music Hall, Wheeling, W. Va., on Saturday, Aug. 26.
It's a competition and thus violates my basic belief that anyone who enters a battle of the bands is already a loser, but hey, they liked the tape of our songs we sent, we're flattered, it's a trip out of town and the grand prize is a slot on Jamboree in the Hills 2001 - the "Super Bowl of country music."
So to all the steelers and Forum acquaintances in the Pittsburgh, Wheeling, and southeastern Ohio area I extend an invitation to come out and applaud real loud after we play
