S10 MARLEN

Post by Loren Bayles »

Hello Al,

You are the first one to reply to my post on the Marlen although I already had a local interested party.

To be fair I contacted him again but he doesn't have the funds now so you are first in line.
I will send the pics shortly that you requested. It is the all pull changer. Don't know it's exact age.
Sent you an email with my mailing address.
Thanks.

Can we see pictures of the Nashville LTD, since I am a "dyed-in-the-wool" Gary Rittenberry fan? Thanks!

MARLEN S10

Post by Loren Bayles »

Sorry Bobby,

I always give everyone that inquires an equal chance to buy anything I have to sell in the order that the inquiries are received.
Who the person is has absolutely no bearing as to whom I sell whether it is someone I have never heard of or a famous person. First to inquire is first, then second and on down the line.
Others may not, but that is the way I do it and so far it has served me well.

MARLEN S10

Post by Loren Bayles »

The Marlen S10 with three floor and four knees is still available.
A few have said they would take it and changed their mind as evidently it is not what they are looking for.

To make things a little more clear, the changer is a pull release not an all pull or a push pull. I can send photos of the undercarriage to anyone who wishes them.
I hope this will eliminate any more confusion as to this guitar.
Thanks.

Just a comment, I had a double ten MSA like the universal 12 for sale here and they were a great sounding steel guitars. Often people told me how it sounded like an Emmons.

I currently play a custom 14 string BMI, but these MSA steels were great sounding steels and fairly easy to switch around and work on.

my 2 cents worth

Post by Rick Winfield »

What you have there is a "single finger pull release " system. I have a 73 D10 Marlen that's maple,w/marquetry,& with the same changer. Once I figured out how to make adjustments, it's always in tune, and doesn't break a string. Unfortunately for both of us, I don't have the cash, but knowing what i know now, (about that type changer)it's well worth the price. Intersted in a trade ? Fender PA, Marshall JCM 800, etc.

THANKS TERRY

Post by Loren Bayles »

Thanks for the kind comment Terry.
If it were not for the fact that I just want a newer model that weighs less and also that I have too many steels I would not have this guitar for sale.

They do sound very good in my opinion as well as playing good and stay in tune well.

I need to add this comment as to the Marlen guitar. I forgot to state that it has a pull release changer not all pull or push pull.
Many have inquired assuming it was an all pull. I appologize for the omission and any confusion it may have caused.
My thanks to everyone who has shown interest.
Since I haven't heard from the last person in line for the Marlen it is STILL FOR SALE.
Thanks.

To Mr Winfield

Post by Loren Bayles »

Hello Rick,

First thank you for the nice comments as to the Marlen.
I do appreciate it.

I'm sorry but I really don't have a use for the items you mentioned. I already have a four channel Peavey PA
and one more amp than I need.
Please feel free to email me with anything else you have to trade and if I could use what ever it is we can talk about a trade.
Thanks again for the comments and your interest.
