Not me, it's a club in the Fort Worth Stockyards.  I'm playing there this Friday and Saturday night, July 7 and 8. No rock and roll, just good old western swing, shuffles, and waltzes. In fact, there's a $50 fine for anyone caught line dancing. 
Sure would like to meet some of the local forumites if you're off this weekend. |

sounds good Jim but I cant make it. Going To the First Anual steel show In MObile Al. this weekend. plus Im not Local enough as I live in Jackson Ms. UH? Good Luck though I hope you dont have to pay that $50.00

Bump! I'll be with Kinneth Doyle and the Texas Dance Hall band. I've been in the DFW area for over 20 years now and still haven't met all the steel players. Come on down!!!

I went to Fort Worth in about 1984. Buddy Hrabel gave me Jim Smiths phone number and told me to call him, which I did. Jim invited me down to where he was playing in the Stockyards. On the phone and in person Jim Smith treated me like a long lost brother. Actually, he treats everyone like that. And, man, what a steel picker. If you ever get a chance to hear him don't pass it up.
