YouTube Video of Adair Torres

Post by Matthew Prouty »

Hey guys,

Wanted to share with you a video my last guitar teacher just put up. He is the best Brazilian steel guitarist that has ever lived!

I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did.

I agree with you Matthew. Adair plays with feeling and clarity. When it gives me goosebumps and a tear, I know it is the right stuff. Thanks for posting this. I hope to hear more from this guy.

The name of the tune is A Way To Survive. At the end it says that the tune was recorded by Buddy Emmons. The song was written by Johnny Paycheck and recorded by Ray Price as well as many others.

Aside from being a great player and a great teacher Adair is also a great guy. Adair is one of the most recorded session musicians in Brazil. If you hear pedal steel guitar on a Brazilian recording its 99,999% chance its him. I am not sure how many recordings he has done but its in the thousands!

Hopefully he will gets some more tunes out soon.
