This one has always been a favourite of mine
re: the Everly Bros, Osborne Bros and Chet of course.
Actually Ike Everly, father of the Everley Bros
was one of the original players of the Thumbstyle
Guitar and knew and played with Merle Travis.
Someone please correct me if that is not correct?
I use the E NineSix 8 string tuning with no pedals
but there is a string pull in there.
Dedicated to all the Kentucky Steel Players.
Is this not the State Anthem now?

Hi Bobbe,
Hardly seems like 10 years ago that I was at Steel
Guitar Nashville and visited with you and Ronnie
Hiatt. I also talked to you at the CAAS where you
played with Bob Saxton. Remember that?
You were very encouraging and your playing sent me home inspired.
I am forever grateful.
I also like your new Jackson BTW and am jealous as you know what.

Roy, that really pulled at my heartstrings...I'm originally from Kentucky. And yes, that is our national anthem just as much as My Old Kentucky Home. Bobbe, I think I'll join you in the trip up there! |

Was that all done on steel guitar on a single take? If so, I'm amazed!.
Wait, this is Roy T. playing.
Ok, now I get it!
Still amazing....so "seamless".... |
