Can someone tell me something about an Evans
E 200 amp. The dealer says it is not an SE 200
but an E 200. I don't recall ever hearing of this
amp.
thanks for your input.

From what I remember the "S" indicates it's a Steel Guitar amp.

Check the listing at the site. Looks like there isn't an "E" amp, must be another letter with it such as "RE", "SE", etc.

I'm with Jack on this; I don't think Evans ever designated a combo or speaker cabinet with just an "E" prefix. The "E" indicates the word enclosure (ie) "JE" indicates "Jazz Enclosure"; "SE" indicates "Standard" and or "Steel Enclosure". The "RE" prefix is for "Ron "Eschete" and is the only 'Artist' named combo amp from Evans.

Keep on pickin'!
