Had my old Session 500 in hospital for weeks for restoration, and what an amp I got back! Razor sharp and clean sound that's brutally true to whatever you plug into it. A Fender Strata with brand new Newtone strings sounds more Fender twang than thru a Twin Reverb.
He's a little noisy compared to my new and very silent Nashville 1000, but the 500 sounds better to my ears. NS 1000 sounds good too, but it's a little too soft and smooth for my taste.
To run them together in stereo is close to sound porn.

Can you tell us what the cost and turnaround time were?

I have a nice Twin with JBL's but actually prefer the Session 500. The EQ and remote control unit is two reasons. But i would trade a few watts for a few kilos if i could.

Hey, Anders! I agree, the 500 is a great steel amp. I dont actually own one, but my uncle does, and i love plugging my guitar up to it. -BC

Bryan - it was in the workshop half a year or so. Whoa! I told the repairman there was no hurry 'cause it's just a spare amp, but this took a little longer than I expected. He worked on it in spare time when he didn't have any other work to do. A week ought to be enough workshop time for someone who works full time on it.
The work in itself took time - tracking loose contacts and resoldering just about everything.
He billed me some $ 140 for it all, and that's fairly cheap.

Hey, Brett! Nice to hear from you! I'll dop you a line!
