A Sho-Bud fret board, An all pull changer, Welding shop pedals (Not Cast), Good looking end plates and legs. Knee levers, Set up proper, It would have possibilities as a first steel for someone. Or a good second guitar to play a Devils Den Bar where a player would not want to take his Sho-Bud LDG. P...

When you go down in HUEY LAND, Below the 12th fret. Everything has to be right. Pickup, Amp and Cables. When I changed amps a 2 or 3 years ago, To a Quilter Tone Block 202, I had to also go to heavier cables. With other amps I had used George L .155 cables for years. With the TB 202, The strings bel...

It looks the 5th key may have just been removed from the top key bar, A picture on reverb show screw holes and the shaft hole in key bar. The nut rollers counts out to 10 in the picture. O...

All you would need to do to remove the 5-6-7 pulls. Turn the guitar over. First make a drawing or take pictures of the position on the bell crank holes and the changer bar holes. So if you want to replace them. Loosen the set screw in the brass ferule in the bell crank, On the 5-6-7 pulls. Pull the ...

As others suggested. The top of the finger could use a little smoothing and polishing. It could be you have got some bad strings. If the wire stock was not properly heat treated, The string being bent will work harden quickly, From being bent over the finger. Some strings will give a warning they wi...

Some volume pedals use a spring for tension, So the pedal will sit in one place and not move from its own weight or vibration. The spring connects from 1 side of the top section, To the opposite side of the base section, Inside the pedal. This puts side pressure on the bushing on 1 side of the VP an...

The diameter of the pulley depends on the travel distance of the pedal through its cycle from Off/Low volume to High. The larger the diameter of the pulley the slower pot turns, But also limits degrees of rotation of the pot. If you can not find the right size pulley, Send me a private message, I ca...

I had my guitar sitting outside the kitchen back door at a gig one night, Near the stage steps. Bending rods is easy. Working in a machine shop for bends, When we needed more than 1, We made a simple jig, Just a piece of steel thick enough for bend and a hole, Steel block we could grip in a vice. Drill a hole proper diameter of rod to be bent, And depth of hook tip. Then grind the curve of the...

Roger, Putting new strings on a keyless head guitar. Sometimes takes some added tools and a little extra work. My favorite steel is a GFI Keyless. Did you just change the pedal rod length to adjust the pedal? This change should not have changed the 5-10 pulls timing. If you changed holes on the bell crank or adjust the pull rods length. This could cause the problem you described. If you done anything with the bell cranks or pull rods to make t...

I had little trouble moving and now like them on the Right leg better than on the left. I found that you want your right leg 90 degrees ...

I even moved my E raise and lower to right knee, When I changed to 12U. I had no big problem with the knee levers it took a little wood shedding and all worked out good. The hardest problem I had was with the 10B-8E-6G# grip. On Jeff Newman's 12 Uni. tuning, The grip is now 9B-8E-6G#, A 1 string too...

The fret markers up on the front edge of the neck is a great idea. By putting the fret markers up so only the bar and 1 finger breaks up view of fret markers, Makes it easy to know where you are on the neck.
