Bob, it sounded great...what I could hear of it. It was pretty much a country orchestra last Thursday, lots of strings and lots of amps. I think you should "toe down" that volume pedal more!

...the problem with a tuning wench...is that she's always yelling over your shoulder: "It's flat, tune it up, up, up!!!" or..."You moron, the E string's sharp!!!"...had a tuning wench once, got rid of her!

Thanks guys, I've been contacted by Larry Petree who has a shop nearby in Buckersfield, he's sending me a wrench for my new baby. I appreciate the posts and advice. I'm sure this isn't the last you'll hear from me, I'll be needing a lot of help with this new instrument/challenge, but thanks! Will

tuning wrench?

OK, total newbie here, where do you get a tuning wrench for the hex head dealy-bops at the a$$ end of my guitar, the thing-a-ma-dads that adjust how much the pedals raise the string pitch? Whew, that was quite a sentence...or maybe it wasn't. Anyway, does anyone know where you can get one? Tha...

Graeme, thanks for posting the link to Alaska Picks, they look very cool! I like how they're anatomically close to where you finger/thumb nails would naturally be. I just purchased my first PS but have finger-picked guitar for over 40 years. The closer spacing of the PS will eliminate the "bare...

John, that's good to know. I hd no idea it was so new. I'm glad to hear it's got tone, I have to admit it was the appearance that hooked me as Jim's guitars are simple and elegant! I'm looking forward to many years of music from her. Thanks for the information!

My new mistress

Just purchased this Lone Star S-10 on Ebay. It was owned by Eric Dahlhoff, a forum member. It's a gorgeous instrument and Eric assures me it has tone to match. I've played the guitar for 40+ years and have always wanted to play pedal, I'm pretty stoked! My old high school buddy John McClung says I d...

I found out about their Crystal Palace show from Chris Hillman's website, got front-table seats for Kathy and I, she doesn't know yet, it's a surprise. I'm so looking forward to this show, been a fan for years!
