Old thread, I know, but this clip went missing for a good while off the YouTubes and is now back. Great solo by Ben Keith for Faron Young.

Lever that raises atrings 1 & 7 to G

With the "G" lever, the "D" lever and the "F" lever you can play the entire major scale, 4 notes at a fret on strings 4 - 1 with a double thumb style banjo roll. You can also use the "G" lever with the "C" pedal to phrase 3 consecutive chromatic tone...

Blanton Steel

Hi, Mike.

I'm not a Texan, but I know my way around Mr. Blanton's guitars pretty well. You can contact me, if you still need help. Cheers!

Blanton C Pedal

Hi, John. I had the same problem with my Blanton. It wouldn't raise the 4th string a whole step. There is a block of wood that is painted black on the changer end of your guitar. When the C pedal is depressed, make sure the finger for that string isn't hitting that block. Mine was and all I did was ...

RE: My Fender 400 Has Arrived!

Very nice pictures of a very nice looking guitar, Dennis. Congratulations! I am envious. I've been contemplating taking apart a Fender 400 to convert it to left-hand play for my next project. Do you have any close up pictures of the pedal cranks and how they were attached to the frame skirt? (I assu...

Its been a few years now, but I've spoken with Jerry and he has a log book of every guitar he ever made. I don't have his number handy, but he is known for welcoming callers. As long as they're not warranty calls.

Blanton Bell Cranks

I've got several for sale. Some made by Jim Flynn in Salado, TX (that I had to rework) and some that I made.

Blanton Bell Cranks

Well, now 3 1/2 years later, I have 14 Blanton Bell Cranks to sell. I ordered 11 from Jim Flynn at Lonestar Steel Guitar in 2011 and 3 more in 2012. They were not quite the quality of the originals and I eventually made my own. Afterwards, I reworked Jim's parts to get them as close to original as p...

Left Handed Steel Player

Count me in. I've got two left handed pedals. A Marrs S10 and a Blanton D10. I just read about the Wheeler D14. Maybe someday.

Multi-Kord

Amy,

Hi. Can you send me a good picture of the the nut and bridge (right where the ends of the strings contact the guitar)? I'm left handed and suspect that one of these can be turned around. Thanks.

Left Handed D10, USED

One just slipped through my fingers. Needed extensive work on the C6 neck even. Wondering if such a beast exists for less than $2K?
